Childhood Obesity in Scotland: Investigating Trends and Evidence - Student Report

This report was written by Rosa Brunekreeft, an MSc student from Wageningen University, as a part of her training during placement at Obesity Action Scotland.

The report includes a rapid evidence review that explored the effect of childhood obesity prevention programmes on children’s BMI, diet and physical activity level, for children from conception to five years of age, in comparison to children not exposed to childhood obesity prevention programmes.

It also includes a qualitative element in the form of interviews with two Scottish NHS health boards, investigating what types of obesity prevention programmes for children until five years of age are offered in Scottish NHS boards.
