Response to FSS Consultation on Out of Home food environment

Food Standards Scotland’s consultation on proposals to improve the Out of Home food environment in Scotland closed on 28th February 2019.

As we have highlighted in our work, eating out of the home is increasing and is now part of our everyday lives.  With 20-25% of our overall calorie intake coming from out of home sources we must see action to improve what’s on offer and the information provided to consumers.  This could be a game changer in helping to prevent and tackle overweight and obesity in Scotland.
